Roman bath house
In this video it showed a roman bath house. the way we take a bath and the way they took a bath are two very different things. We like to go into our bathroom and close the door and enjoy our privacy as we undress and jump in the shower or sink into a bath. this was not the case with the Romans. They had public baths. It was very closely related to a sauna. everyone got in a steamed room with a pool of water and took a bath. This is just how things were in their culture, but in each city they had their own rules about bathing. some towns let men and women bathe together and others didn't. i found this strange but thats just because i live in the 21st century.
